We’re so excited to be sharing this Red Velvet NanaBowl recipe with you! We’ve made it extra special with a Valentine’s Day twist. This bowl ticks all the Valentines Day boxes – it’s got a deep red colour, crunchy chocolatey toppings, black sesame for the dark side in you, maca powder to get you in the mood… and of course, made with love! Plus it’s high in protein and has absolutely no dairy, gluten or added sugars (not even dates or honey). Just heaven.
-1 ½ frozen bananas
-1 cup frozen raspberries
-20g plant protein powder (pea, brown rice or hemp are best)
– 6 frozen coconut milk cubes
– 1 small beetroot, steamed and cooled first
– 1 tsp maca powder
Blend all the ingredients together (adding a splash of water as you go to help mix). Mix using your blender plunger until a thick, smooth and creamy consistency forms.
Pour into a bowl and top with your favourite toppings – we love using crushed almonds, black sesame, dehydrated strawberries and chocolate covered coconut chips.
